We started over with our Egg Laying flock in 2023. We got 300 chicks in August of 2023 and expect them to start laying pullet eggs in January and beyond. We are updating our systems so we can produce eggs on a regular basis. This past year, many hens got out of our enclosures and were laying eggs all over the place and we lost a lot of eggs, which in turn is wasted labor and feed. OUCH.
